AION 2 servers: how Elyos and Asmodian pairings work
In AION 2, each server houses only one faction. Elyos and Asmodians each have their own servers, and they meet in shared PvP spaces, such as Spacetime Rifts and the Abyss. This guide explains how the pairing works, based on NC’s server notice of October 4, 2026.
How to choose a server
When you launch AION 2, first choose your region, then your faction, and then one of the available servers in that region.
How pairing works
Each Elyos server is paired with an Asmodian server for a limited time. When you enter the Abyss or another cross-faction mode, the opponents you meet come from your paired server. NC’s example: if the Asmodian server Israphel is paired with the Elyos server Siel, every Israphel Asmodian who enters the Abyss will face Siel’s Elyos.
Server lists
The notice lists servers by region: Europe, NA East, NA West, Latin America and Asia. Each region has Launch Servers and Advanced Access Servers. The part of the notice we read does not explain the difference between the two types, so check the full notice before you choose.
NC says the list will be updated continuously. Because pairings can change, always check the official notice.
