Midnight Keystone Master Breath of Blight mount 2000

Keystone Myth returns with the 12.1.5 update on October 13 and now requires a 3600 rating. The “Venomous Champion” and “Venomous Hero” titles go to players who finish the season in the top 1% and top 0.1% of their region.

How to read the ranking

  • The number is the rating Murlok shows for each spec based on top players. It shows where each spec is being pushed furthest, not how “good” it is for everyone.
  • Small gaps don’t decide anything: only 22 points separate 1st and 4th place among DPS specs.

Tanks

1 Guardian Druid 4043
2 Blood Death Knight 4000
3 Protection Paladin 3891
4 Brewmaster Monk 3887
5 Vengeance Demon Hunter 3855
6 Protection Warrior 3809

Guardian Druid is on top, with Blood Death Knight right behind. All six tanks sit within 234 points of each other, which is a tight spread: any of them can do high keys in the right hands.

Should you switch characters because of the ranking?

  • If you push high keys: top specs make it easier to find a group, because group leaders look at this ranking too.
  • If you play with friends or in keys your group is comfortable with: any spec on the list works. Knowing your class matters more than a few points.
  • Before switching: wait for at least a week of data, because the ranking moves with every 8-hour refresh and after every class tuning pass.

Common mistakes

  • Treating the position as a quality score for the class.
  • Switching characters over a gap of a few points.
  • Reading an old ranking: always check the update date.

The 12.1.5 update also brought class changes (for example, to Devourer Demon Hunter), so the ranking may shift over the next few weeks.
