Blizzard is giving away a launch celebration toy for World of Warcraft: Forever through Twitch Drops. Watch four hours of eligible WoW streams between November 4 and November 12 at 4:30 p.m. PST and you get the Pouch of Violet Dust, according to the official Blizzard post.

Quick summary

  • Reward: Pouch of Violet Dust toy, WoW: Forever only
  • Effect: turns a campfire purple and adds 1 hour to all camp benefits (2 hours total), shared with everyone resting there
  • How: 4 hours of eligible World of Warcraft streams on Twitch, or the official WoW channel on YouTube
  • Window: November 4, 4:30 p.m. PST to November 12, 4:30 p.m. PST
  • Temporary: the toy is removed from collections when the launch celebration ends in early December

How to get the drop

  1. Link your Twitch account at account.battle.net/connections, or link YouTube through its Connected Apps page.
  2. Watch four hours of any eligible channel in the World of Warcraft category on Twitch. You can switch channels without losing progress, but watching several at once does not speed it up. On YouTube you have to watch the official WoW channel.
  3. Claim the drop on the channel or in your Twitch Drops Inventory. YouTube rewards arrive in game automatically.
  4. Log in to the Battle.net region where you want the toy. The first region you log in to is where it is delivered, and it can take up to 24 hours.

Good to know

  • Drops only work in a browser on PC or Mac, or in the Twitch and YouTube mobile apps. Console and smart TV apps do not count.
  • If you changed your password or account details, relink your accounts. A relink has a 7-day cooldown before you can link a different Twitch account.
  • Claimed drops expire after seven days if no Battle.net account is linked.
  • Eligible regions include North America, Latin America, Europe and most of Asia-Pacific. It is not available in modern WoW or Classic, and it needs a subscription or game time.

Camp benefits matter while leveling, so this pairs well with the Legacy System guide and our class and race guide. Launch details are in our WoW: Forever launch post, and more is on the WoW hub.
